FT 12: Robin Hood Renaissance Faire

Just for fun, we attended the school day presentation of the Robin Hood Renaissance Faire in North Haven yesterday. It was really well done and we had a good time. I was happy to be at a Ren Faire without the abundance of alcohol reserved for the weekends - this was all kids, so everything was above board.

Upon entering the good shire of Nottingham, we almost immediately came across Robin Hood, his own self!!! Birdie saw him first. So fun to meet him along with Will Scarlet, Friar Tuck and Little John!

There were a number of shows around the town - a sword swallower (eww!), a juggler, music on ancient instruments, a play by an acting troupe, and a "joust" between two knights on horseback.

(This was the 2nd show - the first time, they were in full suits of armor, which she told us weighed about 60 pounds. Ouch. And HOT. Too hot to wear in the afternoon.)

And then we found the stocks ...
