Oklahoma City zoo

We went to Oklahoma City to visit some friends for Thanksgiving, and while we were there, we visited their zoo. We love the zoo! It was pretty windy and cold but we survived and saw a lot of cool animals while we were there. The habitat areas are very large so they took forever to walk through and around - my one complaint but only because I'm pregnant and not walking particularly well ... but hey, that's what the animals need. They were really nice.

We liked the baby elephant and the grizzly bears, but we never did find the hippos. Bummer. Those are a favorite for our girls.

This lioness went back and forth from the outcropping (where the other lioness was just hanging out) and coming up to the window. She took a couple of leaps at the kids - good thing that was strong glass! She most definitely had a hunting look in her eye. I've never seen anything like it but there was no mistaking what she was thinking.

our group of kiddos with AC - we have all the girls, our friends have all the boys. We have family already planning at least one wedding between these guys but they think they're cousins so maybe not. Ha!
