soccer for Sunny

Sunny asked to play soccer this spring as her extra-curricular and well, it hasn't gone very well. We were hoping for learning the game as well as teamwork and perseverance when things are hard. Yyyyeah. 0 for 3. AC calls her an ornament on the pitch.

We've noticed that Sunny and her friend Daisy (our neighbor) on the same team don't know how to run with decent form at all, let alone run to keep up with a game. I told AC after one of her games that Sunny runs the fastest when she's leaving the field. Sunny also just doesn't care - she stands around in the game and has no idea where the ball is, and just kind of swipes at it if it comes her direction. She's gone entire games without getting near the ball, let alone doing anything with it. It's been a rough season. Only one more game and then we'll talk about what we're going to do in the fall.
