On Martin Luther King Jr. Day this week, the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford had free admission and art activities to commemorate the Civil Rights movement. So we decided to check it out. The girls had a good time with a lot of drawing - they made posters with symbols of their names and our family, they made "dream journals" to write in their dreams (a la the "I have a dream" speech), and they drew postcards of nature scenes in one of the galleries. We didn't look much around the museum itself - that's apparently more my thing and everyone else thinks it's boooooriiiiing to just look at stuff in museums. Activities - they're good.
