FT 19: the Franklin Institute

While we were in Philadelphia for the temple open house, we also went a couple of blocks away to the Franklin Institute - one of the biggest children's/science museums we've ever been to. Glory hallelujah for the national reciprocal membership of the American Science and Technology Centers (ASTC)! We got in for free!

The heart was a bit freaky for some of our more timid children - the passage to climb through it was very narrow, and the "heartbeat" noise was weird. AC had to go through with Posy just to get her out, because once you're in, you have to go all the way through. There's no going backwards.

The light-up dance floor was the BEST! Lots of jumping around on it!

It was a great way to spend the afternoon. This is seriously our favorite part of homeschooling - going to all the museums and activity places and historic sites.
