If you haven't gone to a Home Depot Kids Workshop, get it into your calendar!
The first Saturday of every month in the morning, every Home Depot store has a kid workshop. The kids get an orange apron with their name written on it, a pin for each project they complete, and obviously they get to keep their project. And it's FREE! It says age 5, but our almost-4-year-old has done just fine as long as Dad is right there to help her.
We just barely learned about this, and AC has taken Sunny and Posy twice. In general, they're learning about using hammers, screwdrivers, and paintbrushes. Last month, they made mini whiteboards that they used for their handwriting practice the entire following week. This month, they built helicopters and learned a ton about fire safety since it's Fire Safety Month. They even got to climb around on a fire truck.
This is definitely on our regular schedule now, and definitely counts for school when I get around to tracking hours. Love activities like this!

Thank you for this heads up! I'd forgotten that they do that, and I had no idea it was that caliber of activity. Will definitely check it out.
