Whew - we plowed through another quarter.
We had some weeks of the full 5 days, but more 4-day weeks than anything else. I don't know that we're going to hit 180 days before Thanksgiving but right now, I don't particularly care. This year has been awful for summer cabin fever, especially since we really have nowhere to go. The heat and humidity are bad enough to suck the energy out of everyone even when we're inside, so the house is perpetually a wreck. We've been to the children's museum a bunch of times on Saturdays, but that's about it.
For school time, we've read a lot of library books, playing a lot of computer games, done some art projects, and baked cookies a couple of times. There's really not much to say beyond that. No traveling at the end of this quarter because AC's week at Scout camp wiped out a substantial portion of his vacation time, and he doesn't have enough left for a distance trip to get us out of the heat. If we're not getting away from the heat, what's the point?
Homeschooling or not, it's been a rough summer. I hope this fall is better.

I'm sorry. It sounds as if you really need a good massage, time to read a great book, some weather under 80 degrees, and the magic cooking and cleaning fairies to come and make your world a magical place for a few (make that a lot) of days.
Love you and good luck. I hope you survive.
