Whoa. This week starts our fall schedule, which is cah-razy! What was I thinking?!?
Monday: co-op at the Lutz children's museum from 10 am to 3:30 pm for 8 weeks (including a break for Columbus Day and Share Day at the end). All. Day. 2 classes, lunch, 2 more classes and club time. I'm teaching a preschool class in the first time slot, and there's a 2nd preschool class right after the lunch break. Sunny is the reason we're staying the entire day - she has 3 classes and I decided to stay long enough for her to participate in the Harry Potter club. She LOVES Harry Potter and is even working intermittently on her own fan-fiction to "continue" the series with Harry's daughter Lily going to Hogwarts.
Tuesday: Birdie and Magnolia are participating in a small preschool called Joy School. It rotates around between 4 moms every 3 weeks or so, for a couple of hours in the morning twice a week. Fortunately for me, I'm last in the rotation and there is no overlap in the schedule with teaching the Monday co-op and the Joy School weeks. AND Posy has 12 weeks of speech therapy at the same time as Joy School. I can drop off Birdie and Magnolia to take Posy to therapy, and Sunny and Azalea will just have to be along for the ride. AND Sunny has ballet on Tuesday afternoons. AND once a month, I have my quilting group on Tuesday evenings. Can we fit any more into Tuesdays?
Wednesday: Blessedly, nothing for me. It will probably be my catch-up-on-the-laundry day, and everything else that didn't get done on Monday or Tuesday. Sunny has a church activity on Wednesday evenings, but AC goes to the church for Scouts anyway so she just goes with him.
Thursday: Joy School in the morning, ballet for Birdie and Posy in the afternoon in 2 different classes, so it's back and forth driving. Not a happy thing for me - I wish the studio had a waiting room for parents! But at least it's less than a mile from our house and will take only a couple of minutes to drive there.
Friday: We're trying to pick up the pace with our field trips on Dad's days off. He works a flex schedule with every other Friday off and we need to take better advantage of that.
Saturday: This is still up in the air, but the local community college has enrichment classes for 3 hours on Saturday mornings for K-12 kids. You enroll and pay for each class individually - most are just 1 Saturday but some are 2. They run October-December. Sunny and Posy are still looking at the schedule to see what they'd be most interested in, and I'm looking at our family budget to see how many we can afford for them to do.
I think Monday and Tuesday are going to wipe me out.
