I've fielded questions lately on:
wills and the division of financial assets
the ethics of hunting
excessive taxes
greed, revenge, and more greed and revenge ("Mom, why does he take all their money?")
The conversation triggers: The Aristocats, The Fox and the Hound, and Robin Hood. There was something else with Gaston in Beauty and the Beast, but I can't think of the specifics right now. I'm even getting the greed question about Ursula in The Little Mermaid and we don't even HAVE that movie. That's just from listening to the soundtrack on our Disney music playlist.
Anyone who says Disney cartoons are brain candy with nothing valid hasn't watched one with a small kid who asks A LOT of questions. We can't get through 60 seconds of a movie - ANY movie - without hearing some kind of comment or question from someone.
