Whatever week we're on ... I don't even know unless I check my chart ... we have FINALLY hit Day 90 (which is noted on a different chart on the side of the fridge). Halfway to the magic 180 days for an official entire school year.
We celebrated our halfway mark by going to our local children's museum for the day. We did our usual circuit - water, dinosaur dig, play kitchen, reading room, the "farmers market," riding stationary bikes, dancing, and crawling through tunnels. There was a temporary exhibit of a Storyland - a number of children's books with activities. We went to Storyland on our way out of the building and ended up not leaving for another 45 minutes. It was great!
There was also a visiting artist to give a drawing/painting lesson to groups - Sunny participated in one of the groups, for a little while anyway. My high-energy, homeschooled child is not conditioned to just sit and listen to an adult drone on forever when she could be doing something. So she left before they ever even picked up the paintbrushes. Meh. So much for that.
The rest of the day went well! We're really happy that we have an excellent children's museum that we can visit regularly!

That new temp exhibit sounds wonderful. I'd love to go.
