The daily list to begin:
1. Handwriting practice
2. Five in a Row: How to make an apple pie and see the world
3. Literature: Greek myths
The Five in a Row book and literature selections will change every week. I'm planning to stick with just these three subjects for awhile until we've established a routine. We have 10 weeks and then a 2-week extended family reunion trip. We'll add a regular math curriculum in August after our break.
The longer-term scheduling target is to keep the mornings open and have school in the afternoon. There are multiple reasons for this, the top one being that I never did manage to get into a morning school routine in our "trial run" of homeschooling last fall. So we'll try something different and hope this is better.
