We did NOT get up at 6:30 this morning to send Sunny to an 8-hour day of kindergarten, where she would sit in a chair and be required to not talk for the majority of the time. Sounds appealing, no? No, I don't think so either.
Instead, we slept in until after Dad went to work. We read a chapter in Pippi Longstocking while still wearing our pajamas for reading time. We built shapes out of colored marshmallows and toothpicks for math. Well, I did anyway. Sunny made the marshmallows into a little bouquet of "flowers." Birdie smashed them up between her fingers - we lost a lot of yummy treats that way. And Posy just ate them for her breakfast before deciding to string them together into a chain.
After lunch (which was pickles and sandwiches), we started making a travel notebook from our vacation last week and our beach trip in June. This was handwriting and social studies for the day.
